民本思想是中华民族源远流长的优秀文化传统,其重民、利民、裕民、亲民、从民、信民等主张,闪耀着朴素的唯物主义和民主主义的光辉。毛泽东立足于中国革命和建设的具体实践,从古代民本思想中吸取了大量精华,并加以扬弃和综合创新,提出了人民本位论、人民利益论和人民民主论,形成了党的群众观点和群众路线的一脉相承的理论体系,使传统民本思想体现出其现代价值,创造了马克思主义与中国优秀传统文化相结合的光辉典范。

The idea of people-orientedness is an excellent traditional culture of chinese nation with a long history. It stresses on people＇s right, people＇s benefit, people＇s wealth and etc. It also follows and believes people. It shines by carrying the theory of the simple materialism and the people-oriented idea. Guided by Marxism, based on the concrete practice of Chinese revolution and construction and inherit a lot of essence in the traditional people-oriented idea, Mao Ze-dong put forward the theory of people-orientedness, the theory of people＇s interest and the theory of people＇s democracy which formed a new theory system of China＇s communist party＇s mass viewpoint and mass line, and renewed the traditional people-oriented idea, endowed Marxism with Chinese characteristics and created a glory apothiosis combining Marxism and the outstanding traditional Chinese culture.
