On the Legal Protection of Genetic Technique

基因技术不仅涉及到产业发展的需要,还关系到社会生活的方方面面,特别是对传统伦理道德观念的冲击。既然基因技术的发展已是大势所趋,如何建立其保护模式及进行利益分配,显得尤为重要。文章指出我国对基因技术的立法应充分考虑与国际接轨,同时加强对基因源的保护,以避免将来由于基因库的匮乏带来社会发展的困境。

Genetic technique, besides its relation to the growth of the industry and all aspects of our social life, is a shock for the traditional moral and ethical notion. As the development of genetic technique is the accomplished fact, how to construct a protective mode and define the distribution of interest becomes more and more important. The legislation of genetic technique in our country should consider the mode of international practice ; reinforce the protection of genetic resources; and most importantly, avoid a pretty pass owing to the lack of genome sequences.
