The analysis and calculation of locating error is critical step in the process of designing jig. Whether the result is correct or not can directly affect the design work of special jig. This paper introduced the approach of combining the two points method and tolerance zone theory to solve the calculation of complex locating problem which frequently encountered in the process of practical engineering work.
