Guangdong to Construct LNG-Based Steam Crackers

Guangdong province plans to construct LNG-based steam cracking unit. This province is importing LNG in a bid to manufacture major petrochemical products. LNG itself contains a lot of ethane and propane, which can be separated for manufacture of ethylene and propylene. In Guangdong the investment in steam cracker based on light ends is lower thannaphtha-based ones.
