穆时英是现代作家中特别善于吸纳社会思潮的典型之一,他的作品杂糅了左翼、现代主义以及消费文化的神韵。但是他对每一种思潮的吸收都基于形式的借鉴,即出于对摩登的追寻,这可以对他前后期作品中令人困惑的矛盾做出解释,也可从中分析出各种思潮在文学传播中的不同方式。

Mu Shiying, among modern writers, is especially good at absorbing social trend of thought. His works mix leftwing thoughts, modernism with essence of culture of culture of consumption. However, his absorption of every trend of thought is based on his reference to forms and is resulted from his pursuit of modernity.This can explain those confusing contradictions in his early and late works and through analysis of that we can also know various trends of thought have different ways in literary propagation.
