Contradiction or Comprise?——The controversy of "Two Cultures" under the influence of western theory

科学文化与人文文化的分歧与冲突在西方社会由来已久,在中国20世纪20年代发生的“科玄论战”中“两种文化”的冲突现象尤为明显。在中国走向现代化的过程中重新审视这场论战的内容与意义,不仅有利于把握现代哲学的走向,而且对于寻找消除“两种文化”间壁垒的现实途径也大有裨益。

The controversy between sciences and humanities has continued for a long time in the West, which is apparent in the ＂controversy between sciences and metaphysics＂ in 1922 - 1923 in China. Investigating this controversy again will be beneficial to apprehending the development of Chinese philosophy as well as finding out the realistic approach to dispersing contradiction of these two cultures under the new conditions.
