Ancient Papermaking Way in Yundian of Huili

四川省凉山州会理县偏僻的云甸乡是一个峡谷地带，两岸群山夹峙，中间一条河流经过，有许多村落散布在河两岸。这里山清水秀，有很多竹子，吸引人眼光的是农舍前晾晒着的竹子、墙边、院中、田里……108国道两边居然有许多古老的轱辘，还有水池，可以看见一些农民在里面忙着造纸。

The ancient papermaking way still exists, but in a small scale, in the remote areas in Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture. In Yundian Village of Huili, where the transportation is comparatively convenient, however, the papermaking industry is prosperous. Everywhere you can see bamboo materials for papermaking, handcraft workshops, bamboo-retting ponds and resounding mills. People are cutting bamboos, bundling up bamboos, carrying bamboos, grinding bamboo strips, taking out paper, tearing paper, and bundling up paper… People are making paper everywhere in this village.
