A Study on the Regional Different Pricing of the Full-text Periodical Database in Our Country for the University Library

通过对国内经常使用的大型期刊全文数据库的特征、价格进行分析,针对数据库价格单一、地区经济发展和教育经费投入的不均衡性,提出“期刊全文数据库开发商对高校图书馆应实施地区差别定价”的观点,探讨了地区差别定价的现实依据、实施设想和意义。

This paper analyzes the features and prices of the full-text periodical databases that are used regularly in our country. And then based on the situation of united price of the database and the non-balanced regional economic development and education funds, the paper puts forward that the full-text periodical database vendors should consider the regional different pricing for University Library. It also discusses the background, implementation and meaning of the regional different pricing of full text periodical database.
