College British Literature Course and Cultivation of Linguistic Competence in English

本文从英国文学内在的特点出发,结合文学的特征,着重阐述英国文学不同时期的发展脉络,使学生在尽可能短的时间里掌握文学的基本特征,在此基础上对文学流派、代表作家及作品有一个较为全面的掌握,并培养其文学鉴赏力和实际运用英语的语言能力。

Starting from the internal characteristics of British literature, this paper focuses on the development patterns of different stages in the history of British literature. The purpose is to make students master the basic features of literature in the shortest possible time. On top of this, students will have a comparatively complete command of the literary schools, representative writers and their works, and their ability of literary appreciation and their actual use of English language will be cultivated in due course.
