Because of the special requirements of the under well instruments, the instruments must be small and can tolerate high temperature. AD7714 is a low-frequency AD conversion. It can accept low-frequency signals directly from a transducer and output a serial digital word. It uses a sigma-delta conversion technique to realize up to 24 bits with no missing codes. The dimension and cost of the under well instruments is largely reduced by using this device.
