This author has, considering the development trend of the combination of IP technology and monitoring technology, proposed a way to build a framework of the intelligent monitoring system based on IP technology, discussed this system＇ s principle and characteristics, designed corresponding hardware for monitoring devices, carried on experiments, and explored the network monitoring technology which is open, flexible and convenient.
