贵州是西南地区一个十分落后的省份,社会发展各方面都相当滞后。抗日战争时期,贵州近代化的进程大大加快,在政治、经济、文化教育、交通邮电各方面都有了一定的发展,而且呈现出自身特点。

Guizhou is a rather backward province in the southwest of China, with quite a number of areas in the society underdeveloped. During the Anti-Japanese War, the development of modernization began to be observed. It achieved certain progress in politics, economy, education, culture, transportation and communication. Some of its own features were formed from then on.
