the principle of Vygotsky＇ s zone of proximal development focuses on the development of the students＇ potential intelligence. This article introduces that in a Reciprocal Teaching situation, how the students create and evoke their cognitive zone of proximal development by imitating their teachers and peers and by discussing with them, thus promoting and internalizing their own cognitive ability.
