This paper studies the development situation of higher education in China and the general situation of applying ISO9000 Standard to higher education at home and abroad, and then analyses the feasi- bility andnecessity of applying ISO9000 Standard to the quality management of higher education, and finally this paper sets forth the basic principles and procedures in the process of implementing ISO9000 standard.
