On the Predicament of the Modern Intellectuals of the "Nine-Leaf"("Jiuye" ) Poetry Group

“九叶”诗派分化与聚合的现代困境,揭示出了动荡不安的历史语境下现代知识分子回归学术本位的艰难与困厄。《中国新诗》从备受责难与内部分裂的《诗创造》独立出来后,促成了“九叶”诗派知识分子群的最终形成,但随着“希望”而来的仍是痛苦的守候与再守候。在无地自由的生存困境中,自由知识分子拥有的“丰富”都只是“丰富的痛苦”。

The modem predicament of separation and integration of the “Nine - Leaf”（“Jiuye” ） Poetry Group has demonstrated the difficulty and embarrassment for modem intellectuals to go back to their former scholarship in the turbulent historical context. That New Poems of China had become independent from Poem Creation, which was suffering from censure and internal breaking- up, has at long last precipitated the final founding of the “Nine - Leaf”（“Jiuye” ） Poetry Group. However, this Group, though with “hope” was stir faced with painful waiting and re - waiting. In the survival predicament lacking freedom, the abundance possessed by the liberal intellectuals possessed was mere “abundance of pain” .
