On the Causes of the Ethnic Minority of Dongxiang Migrating to Xinjiang after 1950

文章运用分析人口迁移原因的推-拉理论对解放后甘肃东乡族向新疆大规模移居发生的原因进行了分析,同时在推拉理论的内容和框架体系的运用上提出了自己的一些看法,还指出了政治在这种大规模自发性移居过程中所起的重大影响。

This paper, applying the theory of push-pull, analyzes the reasons that the ethnic minority of Dongxiang migrating on a large scale to Xinjiang after 1949. Meanwhile it puts forth its own views of applying this theory in terms of its content and framework and indicate the important role politics has in large-scale spontaneous migration such as this.
