Beauty is a Verb——On the Generative Nature of Beauty

自古以来的一些伟大美学命题总是从一种“动词”的意味中探讨美的本质与存在,美的存在具有一种生存论上的非现成性,也就是说美总处在一种不断的生成状态中。可以说,生成性是美的最高规定性,“生成”是美的本真的存在状态。

Since ancient times, some great aesthetic propositions have explored the nature and existence of beauty in the sense of “verb”. Beauty exists in a non-established nature——it is in a state of on-going generation. It can be said then that the generative nature is the highest definitive nature of beauty and “generation” is the essential existence of beauty.
