摘要
本文提出了一种新的基于层次结构彩色图象无失真编码的图象压缩算法．此算法以可变块为基础，利用邻近象素点之间的相关性，由基块逐步生成超块．每一块都用相应层次中一个独立的地址编码，以达到图象的无失真压缩．结果获得比行程编码更高的图象压缩比．
This paper presents a new approach where hierarchical address code books are used for color image coding. The interblock correlation of color images is utilized and super blocks are formed from basic blocks gradually. Each block is coded by an address code alone for reducing bit-rate. Even better bit-rate is obtained than by Run-Length code approach.
