构建社会主义和谐社会是党中央根据目前我国国情审时度势、正确决策的结果。澳大利亚是后发达资本主义国家,近几十年来经济发展迅速,社会稳定,国民殷实,生态环境良好。其主要原因是制定切合实际的经济政策,大力发展经济;注重环境保护,强调人、自然和环境的协调和可持续发展;推行高福利和完善的社会保障,为整个社会的稳定提供基石;强调政府就是服务,真正把服务落到在实处,避免管理者与被管理者的矛盾和对立;等等。在构建社会主义和谐社会中借鉴和参考澳大利亚经济社会发展的一些先进做法,有助于我们扬长避短,更好、更快地建设社会主义和谐社会。

To construct a socialist harmonious society is the result of the Party Central Committee making right policies according to the present national conditions. Australia is comparatively a new developed country where economy developed rapidly and society kept stable. People lead a wealthy life in a good environment in Australia. Firstly, suitable economic policies are made to ensure developing economy greatly which provides material base. Secondly, paying highly attention to environmental protection, the harmony of human, nature and the environment. Thirdly,good social welfare and perfect social-protecting system ensure the stability of the whole country .
