孙犁是我国现代著名作家,也是一位在报纸副刊编辑方面成绩卓著的著名编辑家。孙犁从事报纸副刊编辑工作长达半个多世纪,他在编辑理论与实践方面都有很深的造诣,其副刊编辑思想主要体现在扶植文学新苗、培养青年作家,倡导刊物往小而精里办、不往大而滥里办,注重编辑素质的提高和职业道德建设三个方面。

Sun Li is a famous modern writer, and also a popular editor who contributes much in newspaper supplement editing. He has worked for more than half of a century on this. And he is good at editing theory and practice. His thoughts mainly reflects in fostering new literature forces, cultivating young writers. In addition, he is initiating that the publication should be small but smart, not big but crude and also emphasizing the increase of professional ethics, etc.
