《暂时》的篇章结构体现了后现代主义写作所具有的“片段”、“零乱”、“断裂”、“重组”、“拼凑”等特色,这种结构是作者在长篇散文作品结构方面的一种创新。该部作品主要向人们展现了人类的生存状况,探索了人类应往何处去或人应怎样生活等问题。其语言通俗平易,形象生动,精确凝练,颇具抒情性,且不时显露出些许幽默。
The text structure of For the Time Being is characterized by fragmentary, desultory, split, restructured and pastiche, typical of postmodernist works, which suggests that the author is creative in terms of the structure of long non - fiction prose. The work mainly reveals the reality of human existence and investigates such questions as where human kind should go or how they should live, etc. Its language is popular and plain, vivid and terse, somewhat lyric and humorous at times.
