摘要
由浙江大学主编的《新编大学英语》自出版后被我国许多大专院校选用为非英语专业的英语教材。该教材编写于交际法理论基础上,实行以学生为本的主题型教学法。由于以前用惯了《大学英语》和传统教学模式,有些教师怀疑现在的新教学模式和新教材能否适用,能否对学生的英语实际交流能力起到提高作用。笔者利用实验分别对使用《新编大学英语》的主题型教学法和传统教学模式进行比较研究,对两组学生的表现和成绩进行跟踪测评研究,结果表明,前者在英语交流能力培养方面明显高于后者。
New College English has been adopted by none - English majors in many colleges and universities in China. This set of textbooks implements the learner- centered topic - based approach, based on the theory of communication approach. However, some teachers who have been accustomed to using College English and the traditional teaching approach wonder whether they are suitable for our teaching and whether they are beneficial to the development of thestudents' communicative competence. Therefore, the author conductes an experiment and compares the scores and performance of the students who use New College English with those who use College English. The results prove that the learner- centered topic - based approach and New College English are really helpful to the students'communicative competence.
