摘要
首先概述系统功能语言学的语域理论,然后运用此理论从语场、语旨、语式三方面分析了IELTS考试的信函写作。最后讨论了该理论对英语写作教学的巨大的指导意义。
Mter presenting Register Theory, the paper makes attempts to apply the theory to analyzing 3 IELTS writing tasks from the perspective of the three variables of situational context: field, tenor and mode. Finally it discusses its great pedagogical implications of the theory in teaching English writing.
