从香港语言教学经验看英语跨文化教学缺陷 被引量:5

摘要 目前我国跨文化英语教学存在的缺陷:仅仅重视英语教学中的西方文化导入而忽略本民族文化的英语表达。通过香港过去的语言教学证明,不能保持自我文化身份,不重视本土文化会给语言学习者带来极大的负面影响。建构主义认为,学习不是信息简单地从外到内的单向输入,而是通过新信息与学习者原有的知识经验双向的相互作用而实现的。故而在英语跨文化学习中,只有懂得本民族文化,才能更好地掌握异域文化;只有洞察异域文化,才能对本民族文化有更深刻的理解。文章认为应把本国文化的英语表达与外国语言的引进输入摆在同等重要的地位,既要增加教学中的异质文化含量,又要在教学中系统地引入和加强中国文化的教育。 This paper analyzes existing cross - cultural English teaching defects of our country: only valuing the input of western culture in English teaching but neglecting the English expressions of our culture. The experience of the language teaching of HK in the past proved it had the ill effects on language learners. Constructivism holds that study is not simple unidirectional input of information from outside to inside, but bilateral interplay of new information and original knowledge of learners. So in English cross - cultural study, only knowing national culture can we know foreign culture better; only perceiving alien culture can we comprehend native culture more deeply. Finally, the article probes into the related countermeasures and holds that the English expressions of national culture should be set in the same important position to the introduction of foreign language, both culture content of heterogeneity in teaching should be increased and the Chinese culture education in teaching should be led into and enhanced systematically.
