随着存储局域网(SAN)的大规模应用,SAN的管理已成为当前研究的热点。本文讨论了SAN环境及其管理的发展历程,针对由于SAN产品多样性引发标准的不统一、互操作性差使得存储管理缺乏统一性这些问题,设计了一种存储区域管理系统(SAM)。该管理系统基于光纤通道(FCChannel)构建的SAN平台,以存储网络工业协会(SNIA)提供的标准接口库为基础,将各种单独的SAN管理功能集成为统一的服务。

With the large-scale application of storage area networks （SANs）, the management of SANs has become a research focus. In this paper, we analyze the SAN environment and the history of its management,and then design a management system based on fibre channel SAN with the HBA API Lib provided by the Storage Networking Industry Association, which integrates the current SAN management functions to a new level of management., the Storage Area Management.
