This paper attempts to study the symbolic meanings of the poem ‘Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening’ written by the famous American poet Robert Frost. The author first of all presents a brief introduction to the poet and discusses the notion of symbolism, and then analyses symbolism used in the poem in the aspect of paradoxes reflected in the poem.
