On “ Foreignization:” A Perspective of “Cultural Deficit”

本文考察分析了中西文化交流中存在着的“异化失衡”和“文化逆差”现象,中国译者要“均衡异化”,改变翻译路径,减少“文化逆差”。

This paper presents and analyzes “cultural deficit” and “unbalanced foreignization” in cultural communication between China and the West. It proposes that Chinese translators make a path change in translation and try to keep a balance of “foreignization” so as to cut down “cultural deficit”.
