摘要
福祉经济学的基本问题之一是用于指导社会选择的福祉标准的存在性及其具体形式的决定问题。阿罗不可能定理最早以社会选择的理论框架探讨了这一问题。现代福祉经济学在继承和批判阿罗不可能定理的基础上为此提供了一个全面的解答。本文阐述了阿罗不可能定理的基本含义及其贡献,系统分析了从这一定理出发,为了得到福祉经济学基本问题的答案而经历的复杂的理论探索过程。这一过程可以用人们对三个具体难题的求解来加以归纳和说明;现代福祉经济学正是在回答这三个具体难题的基础上揭开了社会选择的神秘面纱。
One of the essential problems of welfare economics is to explain the existence and decision mechanism of possible social welfare criterions that play a great role in social life. The systematic solution to this problem is obtained by modem welfare economics after a complicated groping experience following Arrow＇s impossibility theorem. This paper investigates the contributions of Arrow＇s theorem and formulates the groping experience into three clews, which may help to clarify how economists uncover the mysterious veil of social choice and solve the essential problem of welfare economics.
