摘要
100年来,马来西亚华社经历巨大的变革,从一个殖民地的移民社会蜕变为一个独立国家的重要组成部份;从一个保守和内向的移民社会蜕变为一个现代化速变的地球村。本文从历史角度来考察这种变革的动力和方向,并认为:马来西亚华社应该走的方向,就是在马来西亚的框架下,加深政治与经济的融合,但保持华文教育及华族文化的特色。
The past hundred years saw great changes in Malaysian ethnic Chinese community, transforming from a colonial immigrant community to an important component of an independent state; from a conservative and introverted immigrant community to modern quick-change “global vilage”. This paper examines the motive force and orientation of these changes from historical point of view and argues that the course which should be followed by Malaysian ethnic Chinese community is： under the Malaysian framework, while deepening the fusion of politics and economy, retaining the features of Chinese language education and ethnic Chinese culture.
