The deep meaning reflected by F. Schott Fitzgerald＇s descriptions in his masterpiece The Great Gatsby of the three major female characters, Daisy, Jordan and Myrtle, is analyzed. In the text, all the three women are selfish, hollow, materialistic, and all of them have tragic ends.
