摘要
本文在功能语言学的理论框架内,以英汉语言学学术期刊论文摘要为语料来源,对英汉学术论文摘要中的衔接手段进行了对比分析。结果表明,英汉学术论文摘要中的主要衔接手段均为词汇衔接,在语法衔接手段上,两者则表现出一定的差异。论文指出,摘要写作者在构建中英文摘要的过程中需增强文化及语言差异意识,从而提高其论文摘要的写作能力。
Drawing on the theory of functional linguistics, this paper makes a comparative study on cohesive devices between English and Chinese journal abstracts, The data of the present research are collected from both English and Chinese linguistic journals. The results show that lexical repetition is the most prominent type of cohesive device in both groups of abstracts, whereas the differences are mainly in grammatical cohesion. The practical purpose of the paper is to draw the abstractor＇ s attention to cross-cultural and cross-linguistic divergences on cohesive devices between English and Chinese abstracts, thus to enhance their ability in abstract composition.
