The development of computer technology provides a kind of efficiently method for biology taxonomy research and teaching. The bird taxonomy system based on Web provides a fast and efficient network tool for bird taxonomy research and teaching in our country. This system consists of five function modules： taxonomy display, taxonomy search, taxonomy identification, geographical distribution and system management. It can satisfy the demand of the research and teaching of the bird classification researcher.
