Discussion of the Word“Jing” (粳)’s Pronunciation

“粳”字是个异读字,有[ck!"][ct!i"]两读。本文阐述了“粳”字产生异读的原因及其语音]变的过程,并对《现代汉语词典》只收录“粳”字[ct!i"]音的作法,发表了自己的见解。

“Jing” is a word of variant pronunciation which has two pronunciations of [ckeη] and [ctφiη]. This article elaborates the reason of its variant pronunciation and process of phonetic evolution and puts forward a proposal on Modern Chinese Dictionary including the pronunciation of [ctφiη].
