摘要
Andre Lefevere的翻译研究范畴“赞助人”“诗学规范”和“意识形态”已广为人知,但其立论的前提,即翻译作为文学改写形式之一和文学系统理论常常为人们所忽略,而这些恰好是他的文学及翻译理论的精要所在。从纵向上看,Lefevere理论的发展可分为三个时期,即传统译论期、思想转折期和发展成熟期;从横向上看,Lefevere的核心概念与其他翻译观的最明显的区别是他对翻译本质的界定,即翻译是对文学最重要的改写形式。Lefevere理论为我国翻译研究提供了便利有效的分析框架,同时对文学史研究也有启迪。
Andre Lefevere's notions of translation studies, namely “patronage”, “poetics” and “ideology” , are widely known, yet the theoretical foundations underlying these notions, that is, translation as rewriting and system theory of literature, have always been neglected. This essay traces the chronological development of Lefevere's theory, and elaborates on its contribution to translation studies and studies of literary history in China.
