On The Comic Spirits

喜剧精神是喜剧之魂,其内涵包括四个彼此联系又相区别的方面,它们是:讽刺批判精神、乐观自信精神、理性超脱精神和自由狂欢精神。喜剧精神是否充盈和高扬是评判一部喜剧作品成功与否的最高标准,也是衡量一个时代、一个民族喜剧是否发达的最高尺度。从喜剧精神的角度研究喜剧是一条有待进一步开拓的接近喜剧本质的新途径,它从创作主体、审美对象和审美主体的结合上研究喜剧的本质,将为喜剧理论研究拓展出一片新天地。

Abstract As the soul of the comedy, the comic spirits consist of four related and different aspects, including the spirit of irony and critique, optimistic and self-confident spirit, rational spirit and orgiastic spirit. The comic spirits are the most important criterion to evaluate a comedy and the most crucial standard to comment on an era and a nation. It is a new way to study the comedy from the perspective of the comic spirit. Focusing on the subject of writing, comic works and aesthetic subject in studying, we will exploit a new scope of activity for the research of comic theory.
