The import and export statistic data about tantalum and niobium raw materials and products in Japan in 2003, 2004 and from January to May in 2005 are summarized on the basis of “Asia Metal Web”. The market state of tantalum and niobium in Japan is analyzed. It is predicted that the total demand of tantalum in Japan in 2005 is 331 t ,which decreased by 6.5% as compared with 2004.
