Sex was once given significance for the sake of love. However, man has no belief in love now. In a real world distorted by money and power, sex is both the creator and destroyer of the sense of beauty. But for Lawrence, sex itself has value: the unique healthy power against the unhealthy modem civilization. In order to reveal this nature, Lawrence spares no effort. With his novels Sons and Lovers, Sisters and Lady Chatterley' s Lover coming out successively, Lawrence ultimately fishes up the poetic mood and lyric inspiration from the sea of lust.
