The information on some famous landmark architectures in the world was collected. Through summing up with analysis, the conclusions are as follows： On the basis of high cost, landmark architectures＇ characteristics mainly are five： huge size, beautiful building form and special style, significant place, profound cultural connotation and advanced science and technology. Opinions and proposal on the practice of some local governments and architects were provided.
