Information is a developing tendency of the world science, economy and society. With the rapid development and wide use of the Intemet, e - gov. has become an important measure to speed up the informationallization of a state. The paper mainly presents concept of e - gov., the differences between the e - gov and the traditional government affairs handling, and the basic elements of the e - gov as well as the present situation of China e - gov.
