摘要 先简要介绍GSM无线数据通信业务,强调GSM系统之所以能适应种类繁多的数据业务,是因为在GSM网络两端分别设置了2个功能单元TAF和IWF;通过数据业务的电路交换方式和分组交换方式的比较,引出GPRS,阐述了GPRS数据业务的技术优势,指出GPRS的优势就在于电路交换向分组交换的演变,并对其网络结构、无线数据接口进行了介绍;最后介绍了GPRS数据业务广泛的应用前景。 First this paper introduces GSM wireless data communication business briefly,emphasizing that GSM system can do with the data business which are of a great variety due to establishing respectively two functions units ,TAF and IWF,in the two ends of the GSM network. Through the comparison of Circuit Switching with Packet Switching,GPRS is derived. The technique advantages of the GPRS data business mainly depend on the evolution from Circuit Switching to Packet Switching. The GPRS network construction, its wireless interface and its applied foreground in business are presented.
