道德教育与现实生活在原初状态上是合而为一、完全融合的,它后来脱离现实生活的主要原因在于道德教育的学科化、知识化和工具化。道德教育回归现实生活是当代学科综合化、道德教育情感化和人的全面发展的必然要求,但回归生活并不是要与现实生活重新完全融合、浑然一体,而是要在回归中超越现实生活。
