摘要
对现有的基于磁盘的数据备份方法进行分析,提出一种基于VDS和VSS的数据备份方法。为系统及数据服务器上的操作系统、服务器设定、参数等资料建立卷影备份,存放到近端或远端的SAN存储阵列中。实验数据表明,本文方法和PowerQuest V2i Protector这款专业备份软件相比,具有明显的速度优势,占用更少的系统资源;缩短备份窗口,保证备份速度及数据安全性,降低备份成本。
The paper analyzes the existing disk-based backup methods,provids a backup method based on Virtual Disk Service and Volume Shadow Copy Service. It also create volume shadow copies for system and the server settings, parameters and OS running on data servers, stored on near or far SAN. The experiments shows that compared with PowerQuest V2i Protector, a professional backup software, this method needs fewer system resources and runs much faster. It decreases the backup window, ensures the data security and consistency, meets the needs of data backup at low cost.
