On the Regional Economic Integration in ASEAN

东盟区域经济一体化最早启动了亚洲区域一体化的进程。从特惠贸易安排到自由贸易区,再向经济共同体迈进,东盟区域一体化的经济效应已逐步显现,主要体现为:促进东盟区内贸易规模的迅速扩大,推动了区域新的产业分工的发展与深化,使成员国的市场规模扩大,生产要素的流动性增强,专业化生产扩大,进而促进了区内投资的增长。东盟区域经济一体化的进展,对区域内其他的一体化形式具有重要的影响。

The ASEAN regional economic integration has triggered in a very early time the process of Asian regional economic integration. From specially-favoured trade arrangements to free trade zone and to economic community, the economic effects of the ASEAN regional economic integration has gradually come in being. These effects can be found in the promotion of the rapid increase inside the ASEAN trade, the improvement and deepening of the regional new industrial division of labour, the calling for the enlargement of markets, the strengthening of the fluidity of production elements, thus improving the regional investment increase. The progress of ASEAN regional economic integration has great impacts on other forms of integration within the region.
