小说语篇衔接的对比及翻译——《孔乙己》汉英语篇的个案分析

汉英衔接手段的异同及其翻译已经得到广泛而深入的研究但多局限于较短语篇片段或科技文章,对整个小说语篇的研究则不多见。这里以现代短篇小说名篇《孔乙己》及其英译文为语料,从系统功能语法的角度出发,重点分析部分语篇衔接手段的差异及其在译文中的映现,探讨这些衔接手段在刻画人物形象、揭示小说主题中的作用。

Comprehensive researches have been carried out widely on the contrastive study and translation of cohesive devices, mainly in short texts or texts of science, but few in novels. Based on the data of the modern Chinese novel “Kong Yi-ji” and its English translation, the author will make a detailed analysis of the differences of some cohesive devices in the two languages and propose its translation strategies. Cohesive devices play an important role in characterization and arrangement of the theme of a novel.
