Study on Marcuse's Thought of Reason

马尔库塞从哲学源头处追溯理性概念的起源及其实质内涵,他赞赏以辨证逻辑为基础建立的希腊辨证的理性观,反对以形式逻辑为基础、片面强调认知功能的科学理性观。在马尔库塞看来,批判的理性既是理论的,又是实践的,是认识论、伦理学与理想追求的统一,它扬弃黑格尔对理性的思辩理解,把辩证性、批判性(包括否定性、超越性)、实践性和乌托邦性作为基本质素赋予批判理性。

Marcuse traced back to origin of reason and its innate characters from the fountainhead of western philosophy, He appreciated the dialectical reason of Hellas established in the dialectical logic,and opposed the scientific reason with the pure perception function laid a foundation of formal logic. In the light of Marcuse, critical reason , both theorical and practical , unifies now epistemology ,ethics and the ideal pursues. It sublated Hegel＇s idea of reason and bestowed the dialectic, the critical （include of the negative and the transcendent）, the practical and the Utopia to the critical reason.
