真核生物重要生命活动过程的信息基础重大研究计划进展综述

A BRIEF INTRODUCTION ON THE PROGRESS OF SYSTEMATIC STUDIES ON MAIN BIOLOGICAL EVENTS IN THE EUKARYOTES

本文简述国家自然科学基金委员会于2001年论证通过、2002年启动执行的第二批重大研究计划之一“真核生物重要生命活动过程的信息基础”的总体情况,及该计划执行2年以来所资助课题的进展和所取得的成绩;浅析了该重大研究计划前期资助项目的布局情况和组织管理特点; 并根据该重大研究计划存在的问题,在中期评估讨论的基础上,对如何加强项目的后期管理及鼓励学科交叉等方面提出建议。

In this article, the author gives a brief introduction on the general status of second round program on “Systematic Studies on Main Biological Events in the Eukaryotes”that was approved in 2001, and initiated in 2002, and summarizes the progression and achievements of the projects within the program after two years of execution. Based on some problems occurred in the projects and the evaluation in middle phase, the author suggests that the management of the projects during late phase be enhanced and the cross-talk and fusion between different research fields be encouraged.
