黑格尔的世界历史观同他的哲学思想是一致的,具有整体主义、精神至上主义和神秘主义的特点。他对世界历史的划分和对它的发展过程的描述,有牵强附会的地方,经不起认真推敲,并表现出强烈的欧洲中心主义和大日耳曼主义倾向。在历史动力方面,他承认人民群众和英雄创造历史,同时又认为他们只是世界历史的工具和手段。他对于作为目的的人类个性的肯定是抽象的,而否定则是具体的。
Hegel' s perspective of the world history, like his philosophy, bears with it wholism, mentalism and mysticism. In his subsections and descriptions of the world history, there are eisegesis that cannot survive careful investigation. They also demonstrate a strong tendency of Europecenteredness and Germanic chauvinism. When it comes to historical motivation, he admits that history was created by common people and heroes together, while at the same time, he considers common people as only utilities and means of the world history. He holds an abstract affirmation on human individuality as an objective, while a concrete negation on it.
