Nanjing Massacre was an historical event with profound influence and specific political significance. By study of the history, place and motif, the designers think the issues should be well considered： the relation between the memorial hall and surrounding urban circumstances; accurately catching hold of the motif of the memorial hall; coordination of the space between the new building and the original phase I project as well as givingprominence to the creation of both Loci spirit and spiritual intention, etc.
