摘要
In March,2002,there were 454 Pieces of the incomplete floriated bone pieces unearthed in two wells at Liquan Fang (Iane) of the Tang dynasty,All of the animal bone pieces were carved with fine decorative patterns, with the lines engraved first and then coated with black color.Patterns include bend-branch honeysuckle,broken-branch passionflower and other forms,All represent the technical works of the Tang dynasty. There remained rivet holes at the bone pieces and enchased holes, thus it can be presumed that they were a kind of decorative accessories riveted onto other articles.Among the Tang Dynasty remains, this was the first discovery of such floriated bone pieces unearthed in great quantity. The beauty of their artful designs and fine patterns can be compared with the decorative textured surfaces on the golden and silver wares of the Tang dynasty.
