The physical significance of forming property indexes n, r value of sheet - metal and their effect on the forming technique of various sheet - metal parts are discussed in this paper. The analytical investigations of specific effects for n, r value are also made on the basis of cold mould principle and the typical forming technique and some conclusions with general requirement for the technique are obtained. These results have a directive function for promoting the production and improving the quality of forming parts.
